Wedding Stylist Hertfordshire shares Sophiya and Will's Wedding at Stretton Manor Barn

Updated: Dec 8, 2022

Back in April, we had the pleasure of styling S&W’s wedding day at Stretton Manor Barn. Nestled within 22 acres of the Derbyshire countryside you will find Stretton Manor, a gorgeous blank canvas venue. The barn is made of natural, rustic materials which includes traditional timber cladding, reclaimed stonework and beautiful handcrafted oak furniture, which all provide a great contrast to the modern, sleek barn and lounge areas.

We wanted to create a gorgeous springtime look, that complimented the couple's colour palette, whilst not distracting from the venue. Here’s how we created that look.

A soft colour palette of sage green and dusty pink is a great option for spring. We wanted to ensure these colours came through, whilst not being overpowering or taking anything away from the venue.

We used dusty pink table runners down the middle of the long guest tables, which added gorgeous depth and texture. The team from Boutique Florists used vases with different florals for the guest tables which were dotted down each table, creating a lovely soft feel through the barn. This gave a different look to the top table where they created a full floral display for the centre of the table.

We used our sage green napkins to add a pop of colour and tie in the green. These were tied into a knot to add some texture and a different look.

We also used our silver beaded charger plates which complimented the venue's cutlery and added a luxurious feel, without bringing in any additional colours. We also used our ivory vertical drop drapes with white ribbon on each chair, adding more decor elements, without overpowering them with more colour.

We wanted to tie in the subtlety of the colour palette so we used candlesticks to do this. We used different textured glass candlestick holders, mixed with dusty pink, sage green, light grey and white candlesticks. The pink and green candles complimented the colour palette perfectly, whilst the light grey and white brought through the neutral tones from the silver beaded charger plates and white chair drapes.

We really loved being a part of S&W’s special day and absolutely loved styling their venue! If you have some ideas in mind but aren’t sure how to make that into a reality, then get in touch and we can help!
