This week on the blog is all about Lizzie and Sam's wedding at South Farm on the 24th of August 2023.

South Farm is an exclusive countryside wedding venue on the Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire Border. It offers a beautifully restored farmhouse, converted barns and stables and is surrounded by many acres of pristine land.

South Farm

Lizzie and Sam provided a beautifully personalised Welcome Sign to guide their guests upon their arrival. In large, open venues, it is important to carefully consider sign placement as it encourages a nice flow and continuity to the day when your guests know where they need to be.

Ceremony - Summer House

Lizzie and Sam had a celebrant-led ceremony in the Summer House at South Farm at 3 pm and were fortunately greeted by beautiful sunshine, giving the grounds a gorgeous glow.

They provided two flower arrangements on plinths in the summer house and 2 flower arrangements at the back of the aisle enhancing the natural elements of the outdoor ceremony.

Lizzie and Sam opted for our styling set-up service to allow them to focus on themselves on the morning of their wedding, knowing their venue would look perfect under our direction. Our styling set-up service does not limit our couple to our decor and props only. We are more than happy to co-ordinate with other suppliers and style our couple's items to create a perfect, cohesive setting. Extra Details

Extra details are made even more special by those personal touches. Lizzie and Sam opted for a less traditional guest book and chose something that reflected their personality - a vinyl record played for their guests to sign!

Our couple provided us with gold memory frames, a table runner, wooden crates and LED candles and left the styling in our more than capable hands.

Wedding Breakfast

Lizzie and Sam's wedding breakfast took place in the Tudor Barn which we decorated beautifully with white festoon lighting, provided by us.

The couple provided us with quirky hanging vinyl hoops on a log slice as their centrepiece. The table set-up also included place names at each setting and menus for each table. The table plan consisted of childhood photos of each guest carefully clipped onto a gold frame.

Overall the set-up was wonderfully detailed with close attention paid to personal touches. The colour palette and overall theme worked well with the venue and drew on the natural elements.
