This week on the blog we have a shoot from the Barn at Brookend by The White Emporium, photographed by Victoria Mitchell Photography.
The Barn at Brookend is a farm setting, surrounded by a meadow, orchard and a lake. Gemma from The White Emporium wanted to create an intimate feel with the table styling at the front of the barn with the white background creating a light and fresh feel.
The vision for the shoot was a boho, rustic feel. Using the barn, capturing its beauty from within.
Inspired a lot by the farm setting of Brookend and the surrounding meadow and lake. She loved the idea that a couple could go out and collect their wedding decor, wandering through meadows cutting handfuls of grass and flowers to dry. We wanted it to have a very intimate feel. So with that in mind, thoughts went to keeping things seasonal and local. She also wanted to mis textures together with different styles of bottle and vessels and using florals sparingly on the table to keep the design
Flowers at Fifty Eight built up with layers of texture with the pampas, reeds and real grass intertwined, all being sourced locally. Gemma from The White Emporium mainly styles weddings to have a range of different textures and builds up with lots of layers, adding pinks and golds into the tablescape with the white tones on a rustic, reclaimed wood table.
