Wedding Planner Hertfordshire Shares A Festival Vibe Wedding at the Barn at Brookend, Green Farm

The Barn at Brookend is a wedding venue based in the Bedfordshire countryside, it is a dry hire venue, giving you the chance to truly put your stamp on the venue.

Mels from Mels Cakes and Bakes approached Wedding Planner and Stylist Beth from Miss Carlysle and Co about a shoot by the lake - We managed to pull together a truly talented team with short notice to bring you this wedding inspiration shoot. Beth from Miss Carlysle and Co suggested the Barn at Brookend due to the outdoor wedding venue is beautiful and allows you to create the wedding vision of your dreams.

A free spirited feel, with earthy details, light linens and bringing a truly magical indie feel. Alina from Saras Events Flowers worked her magic with the beautiful blooms which were both dried florals and fresh florals. The outdoors by the lake at Brookend is beautiful, we made the most out of the outdoors with an organic bouquet full of autumnal colours. A natural setting in the English countryside, minimalistic setting but creating endless memories and possibilities.

A barn setting with a wonderful outside setting, which has an intimate, minimalistic feel with burgundy, yellow and orange tones’. Earthy natural wedding trends are starting to become more popular in the wedding industry as we have more outdoor wedding ceremonies, with the natural life, texture and romance of a wild and free spirited vibe. It simply works, in a relaxed outdoor environment feel.

Victoria uses natural light, showing romance and beauty, which appeal to many Brides for its relaxed nature.

Alina from Saras Events Flowers worked closely with Beth from Miss Carlysle and Co working with a neutral colour palette and linking with oranges, yellows, burgundy, to bring out a real autumnal feel to the shoot. Working together to bring this sophisticated minimalist feel to bring the magic into the world of nature.

Working outdoors gives us the opportunity to be apart of your happiness and warmth for your wedding day. Alina from Saras Events Flowers worked alongside Beth from Miss Carlysle and Co to create the tablescape, using autumnal colours to showcase what you can do for an autumnal wedding and the different options that you have.

‘Finishing touches are so important...it really is all the little details that count. The napkin rings were made of natural jute to echo the boho theme. Each one was tied with 3 different shades of pure silk botanical hand dyed ribbon to bring in the beautiful peach and terracotta colours to pull together all the colours in the flowers and tableware’ - (Bespoke napkin rings by @lulabelleandmoo)

Sarah from Hunnibell Chalk created bespoke signage for our shoot at the Barn at Brookend, with two stained wood signs, one ‘happily ever after; and one ‘all you need is love and cake’. The dark stained wood was completed with white writing which was completed with geometric patterns.

Hanging decorations create a different atmosphere and feeling to weddings - Rosa May Crafts worked her magic by creating creativity without limitations. Her work is quirky, colourful and fun digital home and wedding decor patterns using traditional crafts, such as sewing, crochet and macramé to name a few.

All our patterns come with a step by step tutorial filled with images and tips. Patterns are being added constantly, with loads of tips and tricks to help you along the way. Themed decor boxes for weddings, hen’s party and bachelor and bachelorette parties. We also provide décor patterns for the home. Each and every pattern has been created by me, bringing you patterns to create your vision.

Indie Bride is a local wedding dress designer, she focuses on eco-friendly wedding gowns made in silk or lace.

Mel stated ‘The main inspiration for the cake came from the colour scheme for the shoot. I love using colour on my wedding cakes so wanted to create something that encapsulated the teracotta and orange boho colours that were being used in the flowers. For the colour I used lustre dusts mixed to make a paint that also had some texture to it. The dried flowers and pampas grass really helped give the cake a boho vibe as did the macrame backdrop and the macrame used to finish off the barrel display’.

Keshell from Liquid Mobile Bar brought down her Pink Horse Box Bar to slot right into the rustic boho inspiration look. Keshell stated Beth added some dainty pompous to the counter which brought everything together perfectly. The bar is beautiful, there are many vintage and original features that have been cherished, but if you have a theme it can be dressed and styled to match in.

Specialising in milkshakes, fresh juices and cocktails, frozen cocktails and smoothies. If you prefer a simple bar service with beer, wine, spirits…thats no problem I can do that too.

Not only are the drinks delightful but the bars are charming all in their own ways. The Horse Boxes are striking and fit in elegantly to any setting. They bring a fun, quirky and excitable atmosphere. Having two layouts with the two Horse Boxes allows you to pick which you feel would fit in best - if you have little ones they will love walking up the steps of my pink horse box. For those all night parties my white horse box would be best fitting so guests can stand and chat by one of three open counters! And finally for indoor or garden parties where access is restricted the pallet bar can be set up perfectly to serve guests throughout the night!'
