Wedding Planner Cambridgeshire Shares an Elopement Shoot from Botany Bay

Updated: Apr 6, 2021

2020 has been a tough one for the wedding industry. However, the silver lining is that it has given wedding suppliers an opportunity to come together and get their creative juices flowing on inspiration shoots.

An elopement of dreams. Coming together with Laura and Victoria with this magic shoot. 2020 has been a tough day for weddings, especially with suppliers, however it has allowed for us all to team up together on inspiration shoots to bring out new ideas, support each other to keep our spirits high. With social distancing, we had to keep the supplier’s number down on the day. Beth from Miss Carlysle and Co used her organisation skills to bring items such as the florals, styling, cake, stationery and so much more! Working her magic with her assistant Amy to bring the shoot to life.

Olive and Millicent worked her magic once again… wedding love letters, have you ever considered this? Rather than a full set of stationery, with an elopement inspiration shoot with just your closest with you, spending the rest of your life with your lover.

The colour palette was light pink, mixed with the light blue to work with the sea vibe we were going for with this elopement inspiration shoot at Botany Bay. Flowing the colours through the table styling items, florals and the dress. Miss Carlysle and Co shared her light blue ring box with a light blue birthstone ring to flow with the spring/ summer feel.

BEACH-INSPIRED WEDDING COLOUR PALETTE

The colour palette used light pink combined with baby blue to blend perfectly with the sandy blues and beachy surrounds of Botany Bay. This colour combination was carried throughout the shoot, from the table styling to the florals and was also reflected in the bride’s dress—a flowy number from Morgan Davies Bridal with a hint of light blue to match the colour of the ocean. Miss Carlysle and Co. styled a light blue ring box with a light blue birthstone ring to accent the seaside vibes of this shoot.

BEACH PICNIC

The table used a relaxed beach picnic setting, including a sweet micro-cake from Meadow Sweets Cakes to add the perfect touch of celebration. This set-up could be enhanced by the addition of a

romantic wedding picnic basket filled with your favourite sweet treats and little luxuries. Add a further touch of romance by using wedding love letters instead of stationery and coloured smoke bombs to create a dramatic and stunning effect.

How to create this look…

  • Relax, take every step of the way.

  • Take the full day in with your closest around you.

  • Limited suppliers & guests = relaxed vibe to the day.

With love,

Beth and Amy x
