A saxophone player...
Dom Plays Sax
I am a 23-year-old Alto and Tenor Saxophonist who has been playing for all of 12 and a half years now, having completed my Grade 8 back in 2014 in my final year of school! It seems crazy that I have been playing the saxophone for more than half of my life then I haven’t been playing the sax now! Having been taught by three different teachers in my time who specialised in different areas of the saxophone ranging from Classical, through to Jazz and then even Latin Jazz, I have a wide variety of experience in playing a variety of tunes. Through my university career, I performed in multiple gigs with both the Big Band & Concert Band following school performances from the age of 15. In my spare time, I love to waterski and be out on the lake in the summer! If not, you will find me either relaxing in front of the TV or exercising to keep in shape for performances!
Wedding Planning Tips
Having played just under 50 weddings last year as well as being known to appear across the four counties at wedding shows to speak to couples, I have been lucky enough to speak to several couples about so many topics!
Tips for you are as follows:
Make the most of local Wedding Shows - Wedding shows are the best way to find RELIABLE suppliers for your day (whilst drinking bubbly most of the time!), seconded only to recommendations from trusted friends and family! The reason for this is because you get to meet them in person, discuss the day you are planning in your head, hear about their services and their recommendations but most importantly, you get to look them in the eye and confirm that they will not be letting you down on your big day.
Reliability is, in my opinion, the most important thing for your day. Don’t underestimate its importance by shopping too much online with unknown entities!
Enjoy the Wedding Planning Process - It isn’t meant to be a Horrible Thing - I speak to several brides and grooms who are starting off their planning process, with this huge task ahead of them and they talk to me about their worries, fears and pressure that is on them. I know this can be hard to do, especially if you are working to tight deadlines to prepare for the day but I truly believe that everything about your wedding should be enjoyable. You are just about to marry the love of your life and so as much as possible, try and enjoy meeting the people that will help make the day when you do this the best. At the end of the day, what you are planning is a big celebration with all of your family and friends surrounding you and helping push you into the next stage of your life. You are making precious memories that you will look back on in years to come!
I hope you have found my guidance useful! If you would like to add live music and a perfect ambience anywhere from the ceremony, to drinks and canapes or even alongside a DJ in the evening, please don’t hesitate to drop me a message on:
