RoseGold LP Events offers a unique bespoke venue dressing/styling and event decor services. We create, design and deliver all kinds of events including weddings, birthday parties, bridal showers, baby showers and styled photoshoots, no matter how big or small.
The company is led by two individuals and we have been running for almost 2 years. We strive to go above and beyond expectations and offer a service like no other.
Why you do what you do:
RoseGold LP Events is made up of two long time friends, we started off as two separate event decor businesses. We had several conversations about each other’s journey’s to setting up our businesses and also about our experiences within the event decor industry. As time went on, we realised that we shared the same vision and passion for putting on events and if we combined our ideas, together we would be able to create something amazing.
We do what we do because we are passionate about creating memorable events with a personal touch. We enjoy providing a bespoke service, we really believe that a personal touch is what transforms an event and creates life long memories for our clients. We love being of service, in particular, taking a client’s concept for their special celebration and bringing it to life, putting pieces and ideas together, without the client having to lift a finger or stressing about whether their day will be as truly perfect as they have imagined it to be.
Our motivation derives from wanting to add value to people’s lives. Event decor is not just about adding a pretty sash to a chair, or some balloons, or flower arrangement to a table, it is about bringing all sorts of different elements together and executing not only the client’s vision, but also incorporating the event decorator’s own personality into the final work.
Event decor/styling can be hard work at times, however when you love what you do, it is all worth it in the end. When everything is all set up and primed, you can just step back look at how the once blank canvas has been transformed into a beautiful art and we find that very satisfying.
What you love most about the industry:
What we love the most about the event decor industry is the diversity and the creativity. No one client is the same as the next, there are multiple opportunities to test your ideas and ability to pull off events. You can be asked one weekend to do super glam, sequins, glitter and all decor, then the for the following celebration, a minimal rustic setup with little fuss. It never gets boring.
We also love that whilst generally, it may seem like we always have to follow the latest trends, it however actually is always encouraged to think outside the box and come up with show stopping ideas. We are continuously being motivated to improve and produce better work, this pushes us to style events that we and our clients look back on with pride.
Our favourite creation so far is a Tiffany Blue theme that we put together for a Bridal Shower. The Bride-to-Be had requested Tiffany Blue and Gold as the colour scheme and we immediately thought of incorporating the famous classic Tiffany and Co gift boxes into the event decor.
We worked on a vision board of our ideas and would occasionally share them with the party planner in order to ensure that we captured the vision perfectly. The venue had a very rustic feel to it, with large rectangle wooden tables and gorgeous leather, fabric and wood chairs. It made sense to not over dress the venue and to just let its personality shine through. So in order to maintain the rustic feel to the overall decor, we decided not to dress the chairs and instead of putting a table cloth over the tables, they were left bare.
To create the tablescape, we added some gold candle stands, tiffany blue taper candles, gold sequin table runners and some tiffany blue hydrangea flowers in fish bowls. We then added some bespoke “bride to be”, “bride squad”, “Miss to Mrs” frames, that we made ourselves, on the tables to add a bit more style to the tables. The Tiffany and Co gift boxes added a touch of glam as favours. The bride-to-be was very happy with how we executed her vision.
Choosing a theme:
Generally, our clients always tell us which colour scheme they want for their event, from then on, it is our task to choose a theme which goes best with it. We try and find out more information specifically about the client; what they like, what they don’t like, their particular vision for the event, do they want glamour, or do they like things to be more simple? Do they have a specific budget, how much control would they like over the event or are they happy to sit back, relax and let us take care of everything? We like to create perfect, special memories so we make sure to involve the client in the deciding a theme as much as possible.
Any tips you want to share:
One of our biggest tips is to is to always be flexible, always look for ways to learn new things and improve your creativity and not be afraid to ask for help or look at similar companies in your industry for inspiration. Someone out there has already cracked the “code” and they could help you get to where you want to be. Always keep in touch with the latest trends but find out what your brand executes best and work on that being your unique selling point.
Another tip make sure that the client is at the fore-front and centre of whatever you are creating, however also remember why you started and the vision which you are trying to achieve, and always bring out your brand’s personality in to your work.
